I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Grace's letter of the 20th ultimo to which I should have replied sooner but that I thought it desirable to wait in expectation of receiving the further communication in Sir H. Yule Robinson's endorsed dispatch of the 24th of March.
I enclose a builder's Specification of the kind of Steam Fire Engine which I consider best adapted for the selection of Hong Kong, and I shall be glad to give any further assistance in my power.
